Channa Sundal
Ingredients
- Kala / White Chickpeas / Channa – 200 gms (soaked overnight/8hrs)
- Water
- Salt to taste
- Fresh grated Coconut
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- A pinch of Asafoetida powder
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Green chilli – 1 chopped
- A few Curry leaves
Method
- Add the soaked chickpeas, salt and water (till it covers the chickpeas) to a cooker
- Pressure cook it .drain it and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal and mustard seeds.
- Once mustard seeds starts to splatter add green chilli, asafoetida powder and curry leaves.
- Finally add cooked channa to the tempered ingredients & mix it.
- Add salt and fresh grated coconut
