Sundal Recipe

Channa Sundal

Ingredients 
    • Kala / White Chickpeas / Channa – 200 gms (soaked overnight/8hrs) 
    • Water 
    • Salt to taste
    • Fresh grated Coconut
    • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
    • Urad dal – 1 tsp
    • A pinch of Asafoetida powder 
    • Oil – 2 tbsp
    • Green chilli – 1 chopped
    • A few Curry leaves 


Method
    1. Add the soaked chickpeas, salt and water (till it covers the chickpeas) to a cooker
    2. Pressure cook it .drain it and keep it aside.
    3. Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal and mustard seeds.
    4. Once mustard seeds starts to splatter add green chilli, asafoetida powder and curry leaves. 
    5. Finally add cooked channa  to the tempered ingredients & mix it.
    6. Add salt and fresh grated coconut
